Sims 3: A Dozen Colorful Rugs in a Dozen Colorful Colors

I really wanted to do basically anything other than wall art, so I went with the next easiest thing: rugs. Actually, rugs are probably easier than wall art; the hard part of making rugs is finding rugs worth putting in the game. And I may or may not have succeeded in that respect.

Honestly, rugs were kind of boring. I think it's time to kick it up a notch! I tried tattoos but ran into issues... We shall see.

These were cloned from a 3x2 mesh by Pilar from SimControl using s3oc and edited in s3pe. Better previews are listed under the main image if you want any close-ups.

I LOVE THESE!! I get so frustrated trying to find rugs and only finding ugly, half tried, dull ones. I'm so glad I found some that look just like the ones off of the Pier 1 site. You're the best!

P.S. Also, you should make tons more. I use a rug in every room of my house. :D Sometimes they are the base for me decorating my room. I love Candice Olson, Sarah Richardson, and David Bromstad and try to imitate them in my designs. More Please! Thanks Again :D

Dammit, Pier 1 was a good idea, but the images on their site aren't big enough to use in-game. Right now I'm looking at Candice Olson and finding a lot of very usable stuff though. Like I said, the hardest part of making rugs is finding rugs worth making. Thanks a ton for the suggestions!

I am still not able to find a proper understandable tutorial to make rugs. Hats off to you! I'm recommending you on twitter! (Not that any of my friends are sims lovers but still!) lol

I didn't use a tutorial to make the rugs so much as I used the knowledge I gained from painting tutorials.

If you follow this tutorial, it should work just fine for rugs.
