Sims 3: Batman Posters

My favorite super hero is Batman. I always seem to be fond of the gloomy gus characters... Eeyore's another one. Batman also has the best super power: he's rich! And he has the best villains (I have #9 framed in my dining room), movies, and video games. So, yeah, it seems like an easy choice to me.

So today I'm offering up eighteen Batman-themed posters. They're all in one file, and will cost your Sims §7.

I'm totally one of those jerks who randomly screams "The cake is a lie!" and "Space!" like it's somehow clever. Mostly to myself, alone in the dark. Space!

Sailor Moon Week Day 4: Sims 3 Posters

Whether it's awesome or kind of sad, the fact remains that at least eight of these posters once graced the walls of my teenage bedroom. Well, a couple of them were wall scrolls.

These forty-eight Sailor Moon posters come in two files, can be shifted up and down the wall, and will cost your Sim §7 each. The horizontal set will give you the "current style is invalid" error if you try and edit it in CAS, but works fine otherwise. If anyone knows how to fix it, it would be very fabulous of you to let me in on the secret.

Sailor Moon Week Day 2: Sims 3 Tattoos

I really, really wanted one of my Sims to have Sailor Moon's Cosmic Compact tattood on her chest. In fact, that's the original idea that grew into an entire week of Sailor Moon blog posts.

And so, for the second day of Sailor Moon Week, here are nineteen tattoos. These are not "accessory tattoos," and thus require the Ambitions expansion pack. Most of them are enabled for ladies only, except for the three planetary symbol tattoos. If you wish to have any enabled for male Sims, it's very easy--you will find the instructions at the bottom of this post.

How to enable these for males
1) Open the .package file in s3pe.
2) Highlight the CASP file.
3) Click the Grid button at the bottom.
4) Set the thing to the thing.
5) Hit the Commit button, and save the file.

Sims 3: 24 Karl Addison Tattoos

While looking for images to turn into Sims tattoos, I stumbled upon Karl Addison, who had tons of good stuff. Reincrab? Check. Turtle being ridden by a snail with a mustache? Check.

Anyway, here are twenty-four tattoos. The line art is by Karl Addison, but I added some color layers. These are not "accessory tattoos," and thus require the Ambitions expansion pack. Some of the one-channel ones looks kind of blah when made small, but I figure you can just delete them if you don't want them.

Sims 3: Tattoos of Tentacles

I built a tattoo parlor for my Sims' town... and promptly realized I had no custom tattoos. Most of the tattoos available for download are tribal, and I am not in a tribe, so obviously the solution was to start making tattoos for my Sims. As with most things, I've already started to go overboard, but at least I got one set done already.

These are mostly sea creatures with tentacles, hence the title. A few of them don't have tentacles, but, whatever, I tossed them in anyway. These are not "accessory tattoos," and thus require the Ambitions expansion pack. They are available for males and females, teen and up.

Sims 3: English is Stupid

I know a significant percentage of people who play The Sims 3 don't like English in their game. We all have our weird rules for what we will and will not download. I, personally, won't download anything that has photographic images or art that is too real. Unless I really like it, of course.

Anyway, the whole "Keep Calm and Carry On" thing is pretty huge, and, thus, there are limitless parodies floating around for it. I have included most of my favorites, and, while I was at it, made three more art sets using images from the Keep Calm Gallery.

Sims 3: Artistry Redux - Replacements for All 1,580 Paintings

One of the first things I did when The Sims 3 came out was make an artistic Sim--you know, a starving artist. It started out okay. I mean, when they don't have any painting skill, you expect them to paint crap.

When my little Sim got to level five and was still painting crap, I started to feel a little disheartened. Level eight showed a few decent things, but also... crap. A couple of these pieces of crap even earned the title of "masterpiece."

I wanted variety, and brush strokes, and... less crap. So, rather than just whine about it, I started replacing all of the paintings in the game. It wasn't until after I started that I realized there were 1,580 of them, but whatever. It's really just the same 158 paintings each run through nine Photoshop filters.

Anyway, I did it. All 1,580 paintings have been replaced. Sixteen of the paintings are originals from the game, just moved to what I considered a more appropriate level/category, and most of the rest are from browsing the web and deviantART. A list of artists can be found at the bottom, and, if you see a particular image you'd like to know the artist for, leave a comment and I'll get you that information.

Plum's Painting Replacement Mod

original	A painting that has no trait influence can be basically anything that doesn't fit into another category. Basically, it doesn't fit in any of the other categories.	replacement
	Artistic Sims add a bit of dramatic flair to their paintings. Their portraits contain more interesting subjects, colors, and angles than the basic artist.
	Sims who can't stand art don't like anything to fancy or abstract; they are likely to stick to portraits and still lifes. Nothing open to interpretation here!
	If a Sim is a computer whiz they are probably also a geek, and so their artwork is often fanart and/or anime style. If your Sim is a computer geek you can expect Mario isn't far behind!
	Evil Sims tend to paint macabre, dark, and sometimes disturbing images. Also cupcakes.
	Bright colors, heavy brush strokes, floral still-lifes, and kitties regularly grace the canvas of a genius Sim. They are also well studied, picking up such styles as impressionism and cubism early in their art careers, and using those techniques often.
	Grumpy Sims' art can be notably depressing. You'll rarely ever see them pant a smile on anyone.
	Insane Sims are more likely to paint stuff that'll hopefully make your face go o_O. They often have to do with eating something that is not food.
	Neurotic Sims often paint the things they obsess about, including bugs, sinks, cleanliness, and other abstract still-lifes.
	Virtuosos paint in a refined style, especially art nouveau and Alphonse Mucha replicas. Their art also often relates to music.

The file is a little big for a mod (110MB), but that's not very big at all considering it contains 1,580 images, now is it? I ran at super speed for a good long time with the rest of my CC loaded and found no problems or game slowing or any such thing.
